I drove my Ford Explorer to the gas station and literally after getting gas, just moved another 20ft to a parking space - and parked. Shut the engine off, and waited maybe 10 mins playing on my phone before deciding to head home. When I tried to crank - NOTHING! It does turn a little but won't turnover. It tries but just won't - truck has been sitting 2 days now. What sounds like the problem may be? I've heard SO many different things. Help please!
Were you charging your phone during those ten minutes of waiting in the parking lot? Most likely your battery died on you. Did you check the battery's charge? Sometimes batteries just die out of nowhere, it's crazy. You would think it would slowly die, but they just stop working when they're done for. Let's first start the diagnosis by checking the battery, then we'll work from there.
And if the battery is good, then you might want to check your alternator.
If your lights get dimmer, definitely your battery is going bad. Try jump start your car.
