Yes, the rise converter theft is appalling. I had an 2005 Subaru Legacy GT I had bought for a tinker toy/project. It ran and shifted fine and I paid 300 bucks for it. Since it had dual cats I guess it was the perfect mark for someone with a sawzall and 2 mins of spare time. Scotty have you tested or installed any of the cat guard products on the market. Luckily the cut on the inside of the bolt assembly so replacing them wasn’t to hard. But for someone not mechanically inclined this could be an expensive hit. As I understand it from police thieves are targeting hybrids especially the prius

There are some products but the main thing they do is make the job harder for thieves.
