Are California Catalytic Converters the same as other States, besides the CARB stamp? Or are they actually different?
I’ve heard conflicting reports, that California cats are the same as other states, just with a CARB stamp, or that they are actually “better” at reducing emissions because of higher precious metal content.
No specific make or model.

It probably varies. If the standard cat made by a particular manufacturer passes muster for the CARB scam it's likely to be the same part, you're just paying the CARB tax for the stamp. Others may have to modify the design. The main thing accomplished by CARB is to more quickly empty your wallet.
