Hey Scotty my moms catalytic converter got stolen yesterday on her 2006 Honda CR-V. We live in Kansas. Could we bypass fixing it if we use a straight pipe or can I use an aftermarket cat. And which aftermarket brands are good to use. Thanks

you'll need to check with your state laws.

If you bypass, you will also have a permanent check engine light (so you won't know when something actually does go wrong).

Yeah, that would be kind of annoying having the engine light on always lol. They sell O2 sensor spacers that will turn off the engine light, but I'm not too sure whether Kansas inspections actually look for the catalyst or not. Here in California, that's the first thing they check lol.
