Hello all I was just driving down the road and started to smell something that all i can say smelt like burning rubber or along those lines. I stopped the car and noticed that there was smoke/mist coming out from under the bonnet. I am not sure how to check if this is coolant or something else as also today when i started to break with the car it made a noise and also when i stopped the car when i got home it took a while for the engine i assume to turn off.
The car is a hyundai i20 (2017 model)
Thank you all for reading this and thanks in advnaced for all replies.
do you see wet spots under the hood, or beneath? Puddles on the ground?
when I opened the bonet there was wet on the bonet under and in the engine bay as for under the car i am not sure as its nearly 12pm here so will have to wait till morning to see if there is a puddle under it
I took my car to a garage near me and he says that its a waterleak but they cant do it as they are slammed with work but will be able to get it in by wendsday so will it be ok to be left alone for 2 days and then take it to them?
Also does a water leak cause smoke/mist to come out of the engine bay. as he did say that it could be going into the antifreeze or something like that.
