Change 2016 Toyota Highlander AC C to F

Topic starter

I have a 2016 Toyota Highlander XLE 36,520 miles automatic trans. This car originally came from Canada. I want to change the AC Temp display on the dash and the rear of the center console from Celsius to Fahrenheit. The internet has little or no information other than to say that even Toyota dealers have not been helpful. I know you are busy and hope you can answer. If not, I understand. My wife and I enjoy your videos so much, and I own two Toyotas thanks to your help. They are such good cars. I can't thank you enough. Kind Regards - Dell

Doesn't it say anything in your owner's manual, like it does on page 97?

I can change this for the dash temperature display as noted in this part of the manual (page 47/48, but this does not change the temp units for the center AC display as pictured on page 432 of my manual. Is it possible that the C unit and the F units are different part numbers?

I want to change the AC Temp display on the dash and the rear of the center console from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

Print 2 copies of this image and tape it next to both the temperature knobs.

Thanks so much for the, help.

If you want to convert the individual temperature displays on the HVAC modules, you’ll have to either 1. Find a module from a junkyard from a USA built vehicle and pray somebody can reprogram it for your vehicle. Or 2. Find some IT genius to dive into the HVAC hardware and reprogram stuff. Both options are a major PITA, which is why I recommended the easiest ’fix’.. If you’re feeling lucky, try this - https://www.fixya.com/cars/t26527382-change_celsius_fahrenheit_in_toyota

I've seen this and many other videos on how to change the readings on the dash, and can do this easily, however; the AC numbers by the AC knobs at the center console, and the numbers in the aft control on the console remain in Celsius. Thanks for trying, I appreciate the effort.
