Found a 2022 Corolla SE manual but not a fan of the 18s with low profile. Concerned about getting caught in mild snow as well as hitting pumps. Since this is the last year with manual and the price is good, I was thinking about going down to 16 Toyota stock rims. Dealer claims this will throw off sensors and ABS. Any thoughts on changing the rims/tires smaller to 16s? Would prefer to get the LE with 16s but no manual options. Please advise and thanks!

Good on ya. That's a great idea.

Just take some care maintain the same overall tire diameter.
It's easy. Just use a tire calculator.
