hi, i met this guy who is seling a 2008 ford f-150 xl 54 triton. i know this doesnt mean much, but he said hes a chrisitian man and he wont lie to me. said there is 241,000 miles on it. said some things have been replaced. truck is in good condition. hes asking for 4,800. now my question really is, is this a good deal, will it last a long time if i take care of it with routine maintenance? do these model trucks last long? all that good stuff i need to know. anyone have experience with this specified truck?
Anybody who says they're not lying to you are lying to you. It's like when someone says "with all due respect," you know they're about to say something disrespectful. Besides that, the Triton V8 is arguably the worst engine ever made by Ford, where "Quality is Job nOne."

when someone says "to be honest ...", does that mean they're lying whenever they don't preface with that phrase?
No, just assume they are lying no matter what they say, especially when it comes to buying and selling motor vehicles. Assume the worst and you'll always be at least half right.
