I have a 2015 Nissan Sentra S trim level, 50KM on it... I hear a knock when I remove my foot from the gas and I hear it again I touch the gas even at around 20-30km from the axle area. there isn't any click when turning.
Your suggestions will be highly appreciated.
It’s too soon for any age related part failure. Was this car ever in a wreck before?
Check the CV axles and also all the engine & transmission mounts.
If they all check out, try this technique -
hi
Thanks for the reply and for sharing the video. You rightly pointed out that the mileage is so low and the part failure shouldn't happen.
The car is clean and there is no accident history.
I would like to explain when exactly the sound occurs. If I am driving at 10-20 kph and if I lightly feather the accelerator pedal, the car kind of takes a small jerk as it should. At that moment, I hear the click sound from the axle portion. The same thing happens when the speed is reduced if I let go of the padel when the car is moving at a low speed.
It doesn't happen when I make a turn. Also no sound at high speed.
Can it be the Sway bar end link?
Your thoughts will be highly appreciated.
It could be a lot of things then. Jack up the car & load test all the suspension components.
If none of them clunk, then you’ll have to pinpoint the source of the noise like in Scotty’s video.
Thanks for sharing the video. I will jack up, remove the tire and try finding out the problem, and then later share it in this thread for everyone's information.
There’s a service bulletin on those to lube the axle splines with a special grease for that concern . That’s most likely the cause
