Hey Scotty, My mom has a 2016 Subaru crosstrek with 94,000km. There's a clicking type noise coming from the right front suspension when you turn left at lower speeds. Contacted Subaru and they said that they will fix the following components under warranty if the car is under 100,000kms.

  • Front & rear control arms & bushings
  • Hubs, bearings & spindles
  • Ball joints
  • Stabilizer & torsion bars, including bushings and links
  • Axle shafts & CV joints (boots included)
  • Propeller shaft

I assume the problem would be the cv joint or control arm but what do you think?

Thanks.

Extremly late reply sorry lol. It didn't have any leak or rip in the boot but we later found out that the breaks needed to be serviced/cleaned which did surprisingly fixed the issue.

Great! Thanks for posting back with the fix.

Is the boot ripped & leaking grease?

Clicking/popping noises at full lock when accelerating from a stop/low speed points towards a worn out CV axle.

If they’re going to change all those parts, then great..

All the best!
