I have a 2004 Ford Ranger xlt 4x4 with 85k miles. A couple weeks ago I hit a little hump in the road that was big enough to make the front tires come off the ground a little bit. Right when I hit that, I heard a big clunk noise in the front left. Ever since, I’ve been hearing the same kind of noise but softer and really only on small bumps (As big bumps drown out the noise). I’ve had new shocks and sway bar links installed, before all of this. I’ve checked everything in the front suspension and it’s all tight on both sides. I’m not sure what it could be. Help?
It’s not the motor mount. It doesn’t clunk or anything when I put it in gear. We even had it in gear with the brake on the rev it a little and the engine doesn’t move at all so I know it is most likely not the engine mount.
"a little hump in the road that was big enough " LOL
You must have been going pretty fast to make the wheels airborne
