Howdy Scotty! on my 97 4Runner 4x4 auto 3.4L 300,xxx miles no codes or brake light the brakes are very touchy like your stomping on them but you are braking completely normal like you would in any other vehicle, now dose this sound like a proportioning valve issue? or maybe bad brake fluid?? The fluid I haven’t tested because I need to purchase a fluid tester but it looks fine golden in color…. I’m not sure what the symptoms of a bad proportioning valve are totally just guessing here so any info will help?!?!
Brand New shocks, brakes and calipers (OE remans) are new with less than 5 thousand miles on them never had any issues with them and rubber brake lines are brand new in front. 16” rims so it has the appropriate rotors for the rim size ceramic pads. Only thing I have noticed when drive and stopping Hard is iv never had the abs actuate for me even in the sandy blacktop….
Thank You
Well from my experience it's either a bad proportioning valve or your brake booster is starting to go out
