Hi Scotty I hope you're having a good day.
I have a Toyota Hilux 2000 with a 2RZFE. When I bought it the connector for the MAF sensor was in bad shape with exposed wires and the MAF sensor was also malfunctioning. I ordered a new MAF sensor and connector but when I soldered the new connector in I had a bigger problem. The engine would start but it stalled right away. After a lot of trying I managed to get it to idle so I could scan it. I got the P0100 and P0110 codes and the live reading showed no airflow reading and a -40C air intake temp. This first scan was with the old MAF sensor since the new one hadn't showed up yet. I had the same issue with the new sensor and even wired in the old connector with the same results.
I'm almost sure I didn't mix up any cables because I cut and soldered them one at a time.
Am I going to need to rewire the connector? Some of the cables in the truck are quite stiff, the coils had to be rewired already.
Thanks in advance
Frank
