Constant clicking noise in radio/cassette after cleaning battery terminal and quick disconnect 1991 Dodge 250 RV

Had a battery drain problem with my 1991 Dodge 250 Leisure travel RV van.  87K miles. 340 engine, automatic transmission.

Decided to clean battery terminals and the quick disconnect.

After cleaning, the radio started to do a clicking noise like the cassette player is switching sides.  It does it even if the van is turned off.  If I disconnect the disconnect switch, it quits.  Had to pull the fuse to stop the clicking.   Any idea's on what to do to fix this problem.  Van does start and run.  Would like to get things back to the way they were before I cleaned the terminals.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

As old as that thing is just disconnect and reconnect the battery is enough electrical surge that it can wipe out an old cassette radio. I have seen that happen but do check all connections to make sure they're tight and firm because if you got a loose connector it will not give power that it gives power which will make the radio go on off on off and it will click

Thank you Scotty! Much appreciated! 🙂
