Hey Scotty, My girlfriend drives a 2017 Toyota Corolla LE with 106,000 miles. Recently, there been a problem with an an extended starting crank. It doesn’t happen all the time but sometimes when it does it can take anywhere from 5-10 seconds to start. I’ve made sure the battery cables and the chassis ground are tight. What could be going on? Thank you.

Your car is not getting enough fuel upon startup. Clean the MAF sensor and throttle body to start off. Then check the air and fuel filters, spark plugs and fuel injectors. A bad fuel pump could also be the culprit.
