Hey Scotty! I just bought a used 2015 Toyota Corolla MT with 50,000 miles from the lot, the transmission fluid has never been changed so I'm planning on doing it myself. Is it okay to use any kind of fluid as long as it satisfies the specifications by the manufacturer or what should I look for in transmission fluid? I live in Mexico, the selection of fluids is pretty limited here. Thanks!

You should use the transmission fluid with correct specifications not any fluid.

The manual trans uses specific weight gear oil, not ATF. Use manufacturer's recommended oil, in owner's manual.
