I have a Honda Fit 2009 model with 1.2 liter engine. Vehicle was imported from Japan to Southern Africa. Need to know the correct Oil and Transmission Fluid for my next service. Places where one would normally find this information on the car are referring me to the Vehicle Owner's Manual which is in Japanese. Used Google Translator and failed to get the information. Sent an email to our local Honda Service center and haven't received a response yet. The only other information I can share about the car is that the transmission dipstick as an engraving HMMF on it and vehicle millage is currently at 32000km (19000miles). I suspect the transmission maybe a CVT

help please!

They call it the jazz there right?

Get a Japanese friend to read the manual 😉

Oil weight should be written on the oil cap. If it’s a CVT, sometimes they have a tag on the dipstick to tell you to only use CVT honda fluid. Now for the amount, you need to consult the manual. Dealership hasn’t responded back? Call them up.

Engine oil...5w20 conventional or synthetic

Transmission...if CVT...CVT fluid.  Non CVT...Z1 or DW1 spec ATF fluid
