Hey Scotty.I'm looking at a 1998 oldsmobile regancy v6 3800 beautiful car no rust dents and 120.000 original miles. The man is telling me it just needs an ignition control module. Simple enough . But is they're anything else that could be effected or damaged and I'm getting ready to take the bait. Could it be a lemon?? Thanks Chris indiana.

I wouldn't buy it as a daily driver. It's not reliable enough for that.

If you want it as a project to tinker with sure, but realise it will suck a lot of your time and money. If you don't know what to look for, hire a mechanic to check it out and make sure it's not a total dud.

If you want a weekend toy or a project car, go ahead. Otherwise, forget it.

All cars eventually break down. It all boils sown to what you like. Sure, have it checked out. Will it last forever? Nope, but no car will.

some break down sooner than others. especially if it's 23 years old
