Hey Scotty, is it difficult to maintain a Toyota 2JZ-GE 3.0L inline 6 engine? I've been continuing to search for vehicles that have a strong dependability and the second generation Lexus GS300 looked like a decent one to get when possible. Even though maintaining it is one of my main concerns so I'm wondering if it would be worth it to get that particular vehicle.
The 2JZ is a legendary engine. If it was maintained prior, and continue to be maintained, it should last.
At the same time, 2JZ engines are so legendary, they often get abused. Absurd meaning adding turbos or supers, and getting as much HP out of them as possible. While driving them hard.
So it is hard to say, it could be great and long lasting, or it could be on its last legs depending on prior ownership.

Did you end up buying the GS?
I haven't unfortunately. I ended up getting a Nissan Maxima and I'm already planning on selling it because of how much money I've thrown into it😆
I'll be planning on doing so, if not maybe a different model, we'll see.
