Could it be a warped rotor?

I have a 2014 KIA Sorento V6 GDI with about 115k miles. It shakes when I brake hard. Firestone says there's nothing wrong with the brakes. Is the shaking normal, or maybe fixable?

Most likely the warped rotor.

Never go to auto repair chain stores.

No, the shaking is not normal and yes, it is fixable. I agree with @yaser that it could be a warped rotor(s), but other issues like loose tie rod ends, worn tires, bad alignment,  sticking brake caliper can contribute to the shaking. You should take your car to an independent shop that specializes in brakes, alignment, suspension and steering service to accurately diagnose the problem. Some even perform a courtesy inspection.

No

Yes

If the steering wheel also shakes, front.

If it doesn't, rear.
