What is your opinion on using E85 or the normal 87 fuel in a craftsmen pressure washer? The motor on the pressure washer is a 208cc Briggs and Stratton engine.
Read the owner's manual. I doubt it will accept E85. My Ryobi 4-cycle weed eater specifically says to not use E85. It will void the warranty. The alcohol will attack parts of the carburetor.
In a small engine you should use ethanol-free gasoline if you can find it in your area
Is that a small airport/drag strip only thing or just depends on the chain?
I've been looking for that without any luck since the state went 10% (or more) year round.
The reasons to move southbound increase every time I hear about it, not to mention the lack of road salt all winter.
I'm up in CT so I haven't seen a wawa in a quite a few years, last time was probably in NJ 14 years back.
Most small engines are going to be really angry & have a bog to them unless it says e85 on the box. With the extra cost of alky tolerable parts it sounds unlikely a pressure washer would have them. It may sound overly cautious but apply the same thought pattern you would on a vehicle.
I used to run alcohol of any type in a briggs powered mini-bike which I pulled from a swamp in h.s. since there was more booze/painting supplies than gas at my parents house & that liked to develop fuel leaks despite being completely rebuilt a few months prior.
It did start pretty hard & ran on that goofy unknown mixture of various combustibles but not very well.
I use E10 in my craftsman with briggs & stratton.
I don't care because it's a rickety old mower on its last leg, and it's rusted through. I would love nothing more than an excuse to replace it. But the damn thing keeps going. No issues at all with this fuel. Starts on 1st gentle pull every time. And I frequently give a really hot supper too. I use it to chip and shred my hedge trimmings.

oh nevermind. You said E85. I don't think I can even get that around here.
