Got the following reply on Youtube to one of my comments under one of most recent Scotty´s videos:

"Congratulation, Dm to claim for your👆👆 winning prize we are having a giveaway session 🎁🎁."

The originator was some user named
"message@+ ① ⑤⓪③ ⑧②② ②①④⑤" utilizing Scotty´s avatar pic.

Never won anything anywhere on the Internet. Is it some type of Inet scam, or did I actually won smth this time?

Thanks, and regards

Hi Scotty, is your giveaway real, and not a scam?

Many thanks

Shannon

Someone with a picture of you and using your name claimed I won a prize etc.. if you do win something on here how can we tell if it’s a scam or you?

Scotty, someone is using your name and picture to answer questions on your youtube channel pages. They are trying to scam your followers out of money by saying you won a prize from Scotty. They have you chat with them on a social media app called Telegram. I almost fell for it because it looks legit. I am not sure if anything can be done, but I thought you should know and hopefully now others are warned. As always thanks for all your car help.

I am trying to reach out to scotty about a give away program he is doing on YouTube to make sure no one has hacked him for his gift is very large.

It is a scam.

Scotty your YouTube account has been hacked. Someone is scamming people from your comments. Replied directly from your account. I swear

Just people pretending to be him. It has been an ongoing problem.

Hi. Scotty ? keeps sending me requests to message him back with whatsapp and telegram. Does anybody know if this is real or not, I dont use either so I dont have a clue, please help, should I answer ?

This has been discussed multiple times here, which you would have found had you searched the site. In short it's a scam. It is not Scotty spamming you. Scotty has not done giveaways since his move to Tennessee and does not use "whatsapp" or "telegram" to communicate with his viewers. Do not answer those requests unless you want to have some fun scamming a scammer. (Your post has been merged into the giveaway/telegram scam thread.)

Hey scotty, im sure im not the first to mention it but in your toutube videos recently theres been a bot called "text me via telegram @scottykilmer7", commenting "write me up i have an offer for you..." to each and ever comment on your video, I just thought you should be aware, along with everyone else its some sort of scam.

Aside from that i hope you all have a fantastic Rest of the day!

Thanks. We know

I received a notification yesterday stating that I'm the winner of a free vehicle. I trying to validate this information. I also conducted a chat on "telegram" with "Scotty  Kilmer".

Is this a true correspondence or is it fraud?

If you believe that one, I have a bridge in Brooklyn I can let you have real cheap and I'll throw in a big statue in New York Harbor to sweeten the deal. (Topics merged.)

I commented on electric cars and you asked me to message you but telegram is not supported by ChromeOS so I can't message you.

This has come up many times before. It's a scam. Scotty does not use Telegram to message people, nor is he giving away prizes. Had you responded the scammer pretending to be Scotty would tell you that you won some big prize like a car or truck but had to send hundreds of dollars in fees to claim it. (Topic merged into scam thread.)

Unfortunately, Scotty may not realize that it's not that difficult to spoof a name, avatar, and yes, even an email address. It's sad that Youtube doesn't take this more seriously.

Just use common sense.

Scotty is not doing a give away program on Youtube or anywhere else. However, I do have a bridge in Brooklyn I'm not using that I can sell you if interested.
