I like your videos and appreciate the information you provide from being a mechanic for 50 years.
I have a 2005 Fleetwood motorhome with a Cat C7 & Allison trans. I've noticed it doesn't seem to have the power and response it used to and wonder about the injectors. It has a HEUI fuel system that can destroy the injectors if the oil isn't clean, so I'm also concerned with a cleaner loosening deposits and having them in the fuel and possibly damaging the injectors. What would you suggest?
What mileage does it have on it? Running a cleaner through it is kind of a gamble in my opinion.
@jsl55 those Heui systems are garbage this is what I would check. When the heui pumps start to fail.it causes metal debris to get caught in the oil rail which starts leading to injector failure. What you have to do if this happens is replace heui pump, injectors, oil/ filter and clean the rail. Hopefully this isn’t what’s happening to you but I’ve seen fleet companies have to do this for routine maintenance because of how bad the heui are.

@jsl55 also bear in mind unless you have a warranty still. CAT will not do anything to fix this for you unless you just want to empty your savings out. They knew they went cheap with this and just try to cover it up. The fleet company I takes about earlier the tech said they have had to do this process multiple times in some trucks.
