I found that my old spark plugs were covered in oil. I made sure to clean the spark plug well before I took out the old one. I put the new spark plugs in but my question is: Do I need to take the new spark plugs out and clean them after I replace the valve cover gasket and sealers? Also, should I have not put the new spark plugs in? Thanks.

spark plugs should be clean
OK so its safe to take them out and clean them after the sealer replacement?
You can take out your spark plugs whenever you like. They were made to be removable so people can replace them when they wear out.
Just be very careful not cross-thread or over-tighten them.
