Did I damage my car when I took off in 3rd

Hello, I recently bought a new 2022 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE 2.0L 6MT... I have been driving manual transmission for a long time... the car only has 100 miles on it so far. Today I accidently put the car in 3rd gear instead of 1st to start off... as I slowly let out of the clutch while accelerating the car stopped abruptly with a super loud bang but did not stall. I'm hoping I didn't damage the transmission... the car still drives normal in all gears with no adnormal sounds...do you think I caused any internal damage? Thanks

Most likely, No.

Manual gearboxes are built to handle these kinds of things.

Yes, you did irreparable damage to your car. Just kidding.

You’ll most likely be fine. I messed up shifting a few times when I first got my 1999 Honda Accord MT, 20+ years ago. And it’s fine 20+ years later.

Just don’t do it again.

No harm but if you continuoe doing so, the clutch will wear out.

Today I accidently put the car in 3rd gear instead of 1st to start off.

When similar thing happens to me, I switch in correct gear immediately.
