Hi Scotty,
im I’m the middle of a 2000 mile drive across country and half way through my check engine light came on. The check engine light came on a week prior and I took to dealership and they replaced the intake manifold and requested serpentine belt and timing. Also recommended oil change which o had gotten done a couple days prior and engine air filter so I didn’t get anything but the intake manifold done. My question is… can I make the 1000 miles to my destination going 80mph?
I love ur channel!
Thank you!

Drive up to the nearest auto parts store and request them to scan your vehicle for trouble codes. Then please post all the code/s here.
Ok will do! Thank you quick reply. So stressful
P026A and the other was a master flow sensor
Do you think I can make it 1000 miles? It’s a holiday weekend so can’t really take dealership. Thank you again
I would not risk it.
I would take the advice from @chucktobias & @mmj and have the car inspected first. From reading diesel VW forums, it seems like the culprit can be a failing turbo, which leaks oil into the inter cooler and fouls the charge air cooler (hence the P026A code). VW extended the warranty on your vehicle to 10yrs/120,000 miles so you might still be eligible for a warranty replacement of the intercooler & turbocharger, both of which are $$$ parts. With all that said, are you having any drivability issues? Any strange whistling noises when you accelerate? Any loss of power?

VW's are too fragile. I would fix it first.

If you are left with no choice, I would recommend you keep a note of all the VW dealers/service centres along your route and research the numbers of any towing companies in each town you expect to pass through.
If you do get stranded somewhere, you’ll atleast be prepared for it and have an alternate plan of action, ready.
