I have a 2014 Dodge Dart Limited 2.4L with a Chrysler Group LLC engine. It has almost 85,000 miles on it and I need to get the transmission fluid changed. It has "sealed" transmission. I called the dealer to see about the price and was told it had a filter inside. The guy on the phone was kinda surprised when it came up on his computer about the filter because he had never heard of it. He then said I could just get the fluid changed for $250 or I could get the fluid and filter changed for $750. Can I just change the fluid this time and get it all done the next time or would that be a bad idea?
The service manual for a 2014 Dodge Dart with a 2.4L group LLC engine, recommends changing the automatic transmission fluid and filter at 60k miles. So that would be a good idea.👍🏼
Having this service performed at the dealership would be a bad idea.👎🏻
Try calling around to some independent auto repair shops to get more ‘consumer friendly’ (lower) estimates. 👍🏼
