I am a single female with no mechanic ability. I am looking for a used (5-6) year old minivan to convert into a camper for traveling, so I want the stow and go seats. Question: which is the more reliable used vehicle, mechanically, the Dodge GC or the Chrysler TC? Thank you!
I am answering my own question. I've been watching Scotty's videos on these minivans and I'm going to avoid them like the plague! I'll have to save up more $$ to get an older Sienna instead! Thanks, all, and thank you, Scotty!!! Rhonda
They are the exact same realize that Chrysler and Dodge are part of the same company which is Fiat (FCA). They are known for junky quality. Neither are reliable long term. I would look for a 10-15 year old Sienna van.
Thank you...I've watched some of Scotty's vids on these vehicles and I am convinced NOT to go this route. i will look for an older Sienna instead. Thanks!
Mechanically they are the same. Just be advised that they are known for poorly built transmissions.
Thanks! After watching Scotty's vids I have decided to pay more for a Toyota Sienna when I can afford it. Appreciate your response.
Excellent choice. 🙂
If you're looking at a Sienna, I would recommend a 2007-2010 - you can get a really good price on these compared to newer ones. Plus, those use a timing chain (unlike the ones from 1998-2006), so you will never have to worry about costly timing belt replacements. Just change the oil regularly and the timing chain will last for just as long as the engine!
Also the 2004-2006 had many issues on carcomplaints I checked I agree that those model years should be what she should be looking for
