Does castrol really work to protect an engine at startup or is it just a way to get sales
Is castrol snake oil with made up research or is it real
We're not anywhere near the point where we can produce intelligent molecule-sized nanotechnology. I'm sure it's a fine oil but that part of it is just marketing buzzword B.S.
Oil from a brand like Castrol has to be certified. They ain't your dollar store oil, that crap is a bad as a fram filter. How they are able to partner with VW and BMW and the like if not researched extensively? For the so called "intelligent wear protecting molecules" that is just buzz words dumbed down for the consumer with some truth. It really does depend on application and additives. So if you don't need it, then you really don't, it doesn't have a huge effect (period of years), but for the more considerate car owner then they might prefer a specific brand. If you look at the bottle/can/liter/gallon whatever container ya call it, there should have little SAE or API or both stickers on it. That's how you can tell it's been tested by an independent 3rd party as well to be certified.
It does. I gave the molecules IQ tests and they all scored in the triple digits. Very intelligent. 🙄

They all look like this -

99% of the fancy words you see are just marketing terms.
Fairy Tale!
The problem is they say they've been researching it for 20 years, and they cling to the surface when its off like a rock climber.
You can look up a YouTube named project farm, he does independent testing as well as sending in samples to a oil lab. Pretty sure he got one for Castrol if you want to know a little more specifics
