Scotty, you're the man. I really hope to one day get a 2014 Shelby GT500. Long first gears, some come with heated seats etc etc. I used to own a 2011 GT and loved it, but sold it in hopes to save up and get a 2014 Shelby one day. Can you give your pros/cons for this specific model, as a dream car to keep until it falls apart. THANKS A BUNCH

Pros and cons of the Trinity GT500? That's an easy list:

Pros:

- Plenty of power

- It's a Shelby and has the cool factor

- Excellent exhaust sound

- Decent at holding value

Cons:

- Severely overpriced

- Most of the car is still Ford, meaning you can expect the same electrical and worksmanship issues found on the basic V6 Mustang of the same year

- Gas guzzlers

- If anything breaks, have a banker on standby....you're going to need a loan to cover repairs

- Insurance is sky high

- The price of tires is considerable

One day, I'm going to buy myself a Shelby GT500KR. When I do, I want it to be that body style. Great looking cars, fun to drive, but as with any expensive toy, expect expensive upkeep.

Yes agree with the feedback. My 2011 GT was the same interior as I would have in the (2011-2014) SHELBY. I did quite a few upgrades and it was an amazing car. I painted all the aluminum/silver colored dash, steering wheel, and shifting console components black. Upgraded the Shaker 1000 speaker components (highly recommend as the factory amp had plenty of power).

So, I'm familiar with how cheap the interior pretty much feels in the Mustangs. I more so want the supercharger whine, the SHELBY name, and value they hold at... I've found some pretty great deals recently - but I'm still waiting until I'm 100% ready... I loved my GT, but it was an automatic - and all the new muscle cars are automatic. So, in my opinion the 2013-2014 SHELBY is the last great muscle car. I love the GT350s but for the price, why would I buy 'less' power and not have the sweet supercharger whine.

I'll be changing the cooler to the VMP Triple Exchange cooler etc when I do finally get one... but other than that - I didn't know if Scotty or any of his minions had any insight to the longevity of the car (assuming it hasn't been ragged and hammered on).

I appreciate everyone's feedback and info!! If there is place for pics & videos, I can post my GT photos I still have for enjoyment somewhere on the forum.
