Accidenally put E85, now I have problems

Hello Scotty love your channel. I’m a Lyft driver & I have a 2018 Honda Civic 2.0L base engine with 177,000 miles. I had accidentally put E85 in my car & it takes regular 87 gasoline. Now I have multiple codes popping up. Power steering code, emissions code, brake system, brake hold system code and lastly a hill assist code, now I always took my car to the dealership to get any kind of work or maintenance done. What should I do? Should I give a few days for the codes to clear or should I just take it to the dealership and let them handle it ?

Run a couple of tanks of 87 octane gasoline through it and clear the codes. See if they return

Personally, I would not take it to the dealership.  What are they going to do?  Drain the tank (maybe) and charge you fees for the codes and repairs that probably won't be required.

I'm guessing, however I doubt you created any long term issues with a single tank of E85.

Empty/siphon the gas tank ASAP. Refill with the appropriate fuel. Pray that fixes the problem.

Putting E85 in a non-capable vehicle will corrode stuff. Ethanol is corrosive to rubber parts that have not been treated to accept E85. There's rubber in your fuel lines. One tank of E85 will most likely not do long-term harm to the car, but it's not good for it, either. Drive your car until it's almost empty, then refill with regular gasoline. Wait a few miles, so the fuel pump starts pumping regular gas again, then clear the codes. If they don't come back, you didn't hurt anything. Just don't do it again.
