I have a 2013 ford f150 with 3.5 ecoboost. 106k miles. Runs perfect. Have oil leak coming from right side of head area, have replaced the vacuum pump with new seal, used rtv, still.leaks, replaced right valve cover gasket, old one was rolled or twisted. Drove about.100 miles, started leaking again. HELP ! Drips on exhaust causing smell and sometimes smoke..have removed vacuum pump 3 times and replaced with new.pump and seal..very hard to tell exactly where it is coming from. HELP ME SCOTTY !!
Did you ever figure out where it was coming from? I have the same exact issue. Replaced the booster pump gasket and the valve cover gasket as well. Get a slow drip on passenger side turbo still… it’s driving me nuts!!
You can't fix it if you don't know where it's coming from. It seems it's not the vacuum pump. My guess would be the valve cover gasket is getting twisted or crimped during installation.
You might want to get some tracer dye and ultra violet lamp. Clean everything off, let the engine run and pinpoint the source of the leak.
Thanks
