I got 2012 Suzuki SX4 1.6 N/A with 91000km on it now. In the user manual they are suggesting 4 types of oil, one of them 10W40 and the other 5W30. It is suggesting 0W20 but now car is old. Generally they were using 5W30 but in previous maintenance I took different shop and they put 10W40 oil in it. Since user manual said 10W40, I didn't suspect anything wrong. Car worked perfectly fine. After 10.000km now another mechanic suggests 5W30 oil. I am not sure about putting a thinner oil after thicker one but manual suggests both. What can I do? Will it burn oil or harm the engine?
Thanks!

If it gets cold where you live like Cleveland or Buffalo, you would use 5W30 oil in the winter. If you live in a hot one, you can use the 40 oil
