Engine Sludge Clean Out

Hey Scotty, I have 2001 Volvo S60 with 300k miles. I changed the PCV breather box and noticed incredible amounts of sludge in the engine. I plan on dropping the sump and desludging that, but should I also run a sludge cleaner through the engine? I'm stuck on it because you mentioned in a video that de-sludging an engine can actually cause issues because the old sludge holds the engine together. Should I go through with it?

Old sludge does not hold the engine together but if you run oil cleaners, due to their acidic nature, you may end up ruining all the seals,... You better off changing the oil and filter more frequently with quality oils, especially with that mileage.
