Hi Scotty,
I acquired a used 93 Chevy S10 4.3L that has been sitting in my driveway for 3 years after my son blew out the gasket and cracked the engine block. I want to upgrade to a 5.0, what type of long block crated engine would you recommend and transmission?

you could fit a Vortec 5.7, but is it worth it?

Put in a 350 small block with a 700R4 trans ( from TCI or Monster Trans).
