Thinking about leasing a 2020/2021 equinox pretty sure it’s the 1.5 liter engine just wondering how good that suv is. I really like it and I do hear good things about it. Decisions decisions. 🤔 🤔

Don’t do it.

Get a RAV4 instead.

They are prone to electrical failures and transmission issues. Really would just pay up and get a rav4.

They are piles of junk a CR-V would be much better but you are leasing it if you really like it then go ahead but DO NOT buy it because they are really cheaply made.

The Rav4 drove like it had a lawnmower engine. The Highlander is much better. We bought the 2019 Enclave Premier with 3.6liter V6 engine last New Year's eve. We had the torque converter replaced at 3000 miles. Transmission still shifts a little off at times. The car had been on the lot for one year and had 100 miles on it. I think it sat in the showroom. We paid $11,000 under MSRP with no dealer prep fee. We figured we paid enough under MSRP on this one to pay for problems after the 3 year warranty is over. Our 2002 Yukon XL has been pretty good at just under 200,000 miles. We had a 2003 Chevy Avalanche which was pretty good up to 155,000 when it was totaled in a wreck last year. I think these were the last years of GM producing a decent vehicle. Our next vehicle will be a 2022 Tundra or a 2021 Ford F150.

It may be heresy in Scotty's world but my wife has leased Chevy Equinoxes for the last five years and had zero problems with them.  Of course, being new cars I wouldn't expect to have many problems.  Would I buy a 10 year old Equinox?  Probably not.  I did buy a 10 year old RAV4 last January and sold it in September.  Just couldn't get use to the transmission whine between 25-40 mph and had to spend almost $1000 early on to fix the noisy rear differential.  Not saying all RAV4s are bad, just relating my personal experience.

the only logical time to lease if if ur buying a new E class merc and the lease payment would be cheaper than its resale value in 3 years lol.

if u care about longevity then its Honda CRV / Toyota Rav4.

if you have to have that car, you might as well buy an already depreciated equinox and sell in few years when it gets more problem so u lose less money.
