In my opinion, electric is just a way to transfer worth, take jobs away and make you slave of one system.

@erickmello
Had a 2003 ford ranger that ran on e85. It was nice to have an option to run on e15 or e85. But on e85 I got nearly half the mileage that I would from regular gas. I would say that it be better to go ethanol than electric, think of what would happen if you had a power loss in your area?

Here the truth of electric from my view.

It got mined from a desiel truck.

The mine goods got transport from desiel trucks.

The product to product in factory from coal fired plants

The telsa car got transported on diesel trucks.

The you recharge from a solar panel or a coal fire plant.

.... but it make the person feel green. Lol.

I am a fan of electric car because of performance but always a petrol head.

A friend of mind used to run his desiel truck from old cooking oil and e10 he refined in some setup. Apparently Brazil it quite common.

@klob
Good point of view mate. I'm from Brazil and here there are lots of bio-diesel going on from different sources.
I believe that electric car for long range is just a scam.
Imagine if we have an earthquake and the electricity goes off for days...gasoline and diesel we can storage in tanks!

I'm getting tired of these BS green LoL

The only thing that is endlessly renewable are people that ask the same old questions but never actually do anything !

Man there are a lot of people who need to research how these vehicles are made and what they can do for the environment.

In the early days of producing the Prius, the processes for getting the components together were not very green and actually could be dangerous. However, much has evolved in this field and better processes are in place to build these vehicles. I love a good V8 more than the next guy, but we have a MASSIVE pollution issue on this planet and we have to do something about it. We also know vehicles play a very large role in these emissions. Electric vehicles, while not perfect, are helping us look at ways to stop burning fossil fuels, which we will inevitably run out of. If you research some of the criminal actions big oil has taken in the past to cover up just how damaging their products are, you would stop feeling so sorry for them. And I'm not talking conspiracy theories but rather actual court cases and statements made.

Ethanol is a poor choice for fuel. Period. First, you are turning food into fuel which, in a nation already doing nothing for our more unfortunate citizens, is wasteful. Second, it simply doesn't burn as efficient as gasoline. Sure, it can make more power but that is contradictory to the end goal of alternative fuel sources anyway. Thirdly, farmers have to grow corn for use in E85, which means taking up already valuable planting area for something that will not be consumed. And there are many more reasons.

If you dislike electric vehicles so much, I would love to see what alternative you have come up with that runs and drives as well as they do. Millions of people have dedicated their lives to trying to come up with a solution to a man made problem, and rather than give them the recognition they deserve, too many people simply declare they are wrong without having any solution or doing any work of their own.

Odds are, if you hate EV's, you probably hate automatic transmissions in sports cars and all the other things people stuck in the past grumble about. Fortunately, the world is moving on with or without you.

@mod_man

Have you heard of finite resources? electric cars are made with them. Period.

Like I said, they are not perfect. What have you invented? We would love to see it.

@mod_man

I didn't invent anything, but I did learn that finite resources cannot be sell as renewable or "green".

We've got to think out of the box, and see what's they are trying to sell to all of us as a "value".

Let's think a bit more chuck! LoL

@mod_man
Hydrogen is a truly renewable resource. Problem: requires electricity. Only true solution is true renewable electric generation, which we are ages away from implementing on a national scale. We need to pursue ALL forms of renewable electricity generation. IMHO.
