I am at my wit's end. Your recent video saying that any mechanic that claims they can't find an issue using a top of the line computer is no mechanic. I've been to several with this 2013 Cadillac XTS, typical issue loss of power after getting off the highway ABS lights and such all come on, replaced mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure sensor, smoke test the vapor system, replaced plugs and usually got the bank one running rich code over and over. Been ripped off for hundreds and more finally took it to a dealership chesron olds in Delaware Ohio and they're telling me they can't find it with their top of the line computer! $160 later they want to give me the car back! He tried to charge me $400 for a bunch of work I didn't need. I'm guessing they didn't even put it on the computer he says that they got no codes and test drove it two or three times and I kept telling him you have to go let it run all afternoon or drive it on the highway for a period of time and then you have no acceleration. What is with these guys? Besides the fuel pressure code and the bank one running rich code no explanations from anybody. The morons that tuned it up found White deposits on the rear three plugs one of which was heavily coated but he just replaced them and put it back together without even telling me until after the fact! Do I have to drive it to Tennessee to find someone competent to to fix this common issue with these cadillacs? HELP!
Besides replacing the mass air flow and fuel pressure sensors one mechanic supposedly replaced a sensor on the back of the engine for the vapor canister system. I also spray cleaned the throttle body with the proper cleanser and added the ATS 505 fuel engine cleaner but haven't put the oil cleaner in yet. It definitely started running smoother but still have the issue of coming off the highway and totally losing power with no accelerator and have to pump it or pull over and try restarting the car. Really sucks when you're in traffic. Since now the dealer is claiming they can't do anything with no codes showing I'm considering replacing the throttle body because you can't replace the sensor alone and replacing the gas pedal assembly. The next step would be dropping the tank and replacing the fuel filter and or the fuel pump! I really don't want to get rid of the car having just paid it off a year or two ago and can't afford in getting into a new car for my black car service. Also bought a 07 Suburban and have ended up putting thousands into it as well. I just want to keep the caddy running for another year or two. By the way it has over 150,000 miles on it but I'm sick to death of dealing with mechanics. Scotty I would seriously drive both down there to Tennessee and let you look at them. I need a vacation anyway!
