I've got a 2001 Ford F-150. I was driving home from school and when I went to start it up, it took a little longer and it didnt sound right. And then as I was driving home it got a lot harder to put it into the next gear. Could it be the clutch going out? Also I'm pretty sure its developed a prominent exhaust leak after the catalytic converters. Not sure if that has anything to do with it. Its got the 4.6L V8 with the 5 speed manual and the manual 4x4 shifter. The odometer says roughly 184,xxx miles. And there are no codes. And I also just had the #4 and #6 coil packs replaced by a reputable mechanic.

Which gears do you have difficulty with?

Is it the first gear only?
