I have a 2000 f150 it has a new battery and a new fuel filter. It will not start unless you let it sit on accessory for a second and let the dash light go through its cycle. What is going on and how do I fix it and get it to start right off the bat.

First I would probably test the fuel pump it could be on its way out.but if not that you have some type of electrical problem could be the computer starting to fail I've seen that happen and that's exactly like that also could be a weak ignition switch it's not sending power
