Hello Scotty, long time Youtube follower here but first time asking you a question.. I have a 2018 Lexus ES hybrid with 70k miles.. I installed Goodyear Assurance MaxLife tires two years ago and already put in about 40k miles on them.. there are still around 5/32" of threads left.. however, I've noticed that all four tires are starting to wear at the edge (tire feathering).. Can you please tell me why I get feathering tires? Can an alignment fix the problem? Thank you in advance! (This is my commuter car and I easily put 150 highway miles a day, if this make any differences..)
You need to take it to a professional alignment shop with laser aiming equipment to fix the problem.
if it is both edges, then they're underinflated.
If it's one edge, then you need an alignment.
You should also rotate the wheels every 7 to 8 thousand miles for maximum life.
Thank you so much for all the quick responses!! It is only on the outer edge of the tires.. I'll schedule an alignment right away.. Thank you again for your help!! I really appreciate it!!
