[Solved] Finding a good Mechanic

Hey people... I feel overwhelmed when trying to find an honest mechanic here on the North side of Chicago. I do know one, but when I went to him years ago, his prices are so inflated!!! Seriously. The most honest one I found is this tiny tire place (they only do tires) and everyone there is Hispanic. They are so kind and honest, but limited. Maybe I answered my own question, and should ask them for someone, but they barely speak English. Really hard to communicate with them. I dont need one just yet,  but I just wish I can find a 'Scotty'.... any tips? Thanks

Yeah at least Chicago it's a big expensive city and everything costs a ton there. When guys have outrageous rent and insurance and Chicago city tax and all that they have to charge a lot of money just to stay in business. I find it amusing that people made it all the way from Mexico to Chicago they got a lot further north than Houston. But as you said they often can only go so far with the modern technology and cars so you might try my video how to find a good mechanic Scotty

YES! I will look for it on your channel. Cool Beans... YOU answered my question.. how awesome is that! I lived alone for many years and still do, I always had trouble with mechanics. Either staff at the front office wont let you speak to them or mechanics take one look at you, size you up, then rip you off. Back in the 90's, I had to take a mechanic to court over what he did. The Judge gave everyone a chance to settle outside, in conference rooms.. He lawyered up, and still settled...giving me my money back. (in Murray, KY) Scotty, you are simply the GREATEST Mechanic ever, and I am honored you answered me. Thank you!! My 'new' Honda '09 Civic, manufactured in Canada is running fine, I picked it out by watching your videos. A million THANKS to you, Scotty. Have a GOOD day.... by watching you, it always seems like you have no trouble doing that! Cuz you love your work and it shows. {blackemo}:hotdrink:
