It was given to me it’s sat for years and I’m having trouble with the fuel pump it’s automatic and has 170,000 miles

Ok, not quite sure what your question is. It’s definitely at an age or milesge where it could use a fuel pump, but could need a fuel filter instead. If it has been sitting I would drain the fuel tank, replace the filter and go from there. If you pull the tank to drain and clean it you might as well throw in a new pump. These cars are considered collectors items now. Only going to increase in value.
