Hey Scotty, love your channel. I want a fast reliable car that is not too expensive, but also has the updated technology like sat nav, parking sensors, etc. My budget is 16k so I'll be looking at used cars.
What do you think of the ford focus ST?
They are fast yes, reliable no. Especially not with the Ecoboost engines.
How about the BRZ/86 instead? Do you need the rear seats?
Fast + reliable = expensive (usually)
Ford really got the Fiesta ST right. It is a well balanced car with good power for its weight and excellent handling.
They are not spacious, but if you fit well and you can find a good used one I would say they are a good idea.
He’s asking about the Focus ST.
That's it. Black coffee for a few days until I can answer questions straight. Sorry about that.
Lol, are you planning to not sleep till 2021?
Lol maybe. I suffer from severe insomnia so I never know. But I can't believe I didn't catch he was asking about a Focus.
@mod_man
you seem to be dozing off into the distance and scanning questions seems like you need some turkish coffee
I'll happily try some of that my friend!
love turkish coffee
@mountainmanjoe @mod_man
I know right I have like 3 or 4 packets of it at home.
I would look at the Honda Civic type R with manual transmission
It would be a great choice, if it wasn’t so expensive.
To give you some context, the Grand Tour team traveled to Madagascar in their special dating to 17 December 2020. For the first time a car was left behind and that was Richard Hammond's Focus RS... because of mechanical issues. There is a class action lawsuit for the Ford Focus and Fiesta for DCT transmissions. Ecoboost engines are also junk. Now reconsider...
