Hey Scotty I got a 2021 ford f150 crew cab xlt sport package with the 5.0 V8 with 23k miles. I'm having a ratling noise when I'm accelerating from 0. The last time I went in for a oil change I had them check the transmission fluid and they said that it was low and filled it. It went away for a bit but its back now. Not sure if I should get it checked or not
Google oil dilution and the other problems the 2018-21 new 5.0 V8 has. Ford is having major issues with the new 5.0 with all the redesigns they did to that motor.
Check the oil level and pressure.
My truck made a rattle noise on acceleration. Was a 2018 with the 5.0 and 6k miles. Seemed to happen around 2500 - 3500 rpm or so.
The noise persisted through three motors before I sued them. Never did find out the problem.
The answer to your main question is that Ford quality has gone down the El Bano.
