I am looking at buying a 2018 F150. I checked maintenance records and the truck has been serviced for excessive oil consumption. It only has 58,000 miles on it. Also a timing chain needed to be replaced. From what I have read others have had noisey engines when cold. Was 2018 a bad year for F150’s. Could you recommend another year?

2018+ F150's with the 5.0L V8 are junk. Ford switched over to plasma lining for the cylinder walls and it was a disaster. My truck went through 3 motors and 2 transmissions in less than 6 months and 6k miles before I sued Ford to force them to take it back. They were terrible to work with. Would recommend highly that you look elsewhere.
