How do I maintain my Ford fusion

Just bought a 2011 Ford Fusion, 2.5 engine, 6f35 transmission with 96,000 miles. I had all fluids flushed and filled, fuel injectors cleaned and personally did a simple drain and fill of the transmission fluid. Trying to get to 200,000 miles, anything else I should do or watch out for?

I had a 2016 with the 2.5, it was a lemon replacement for my 2014 1.5 Turbo, which was on its third motor failing at 17k.

1. If you have the 18” wheels rotate frequently. It loves to eat up low profile tires. Most I got was about 15k on a new set of tires.
2. OEM AC compressors are junk. They start to fail after 2-3 years.
3. No wear indicators on rear brakes. Caliper will over extend and leak before brake pads are low enough to not pass inspection. No wear indicators on front brakes. At 13,000 miles my pads were worn and starting to scratch rotors.

Why I hate new fords.

They use the cheapest consumable parts on their cars when shipped to the dealer. Tires, brake pads, belts, hoses and battery. I was on my third set of tires at 32k miles. Top rad hose, serpentine belt, brakes all way around including two calipers and a rotor. Battery was shot at 2 years 28k miles.

Keep up on transmission fluid changes as that is a weak point with that generation of Ford Fusion, refer to owners manual for intervals and do no later than every 50k miles if it says "life time" or doesn't specify. Change the oil, and look at the maintenance section of the owners manual to see intervals of when to inspect/change components. The Fusion is a decent car, and it could last a while if you take care of it and get lucky.

Those cars are known for power steering failure, that is the main thing I would watch out for.

Take it easy on the road, change the oil, and hope the person before you took good care of it. Just do basic maintenance.

I have a newer Fusion and it's doing fine. Good luck.

Just follow the recommended manufacturer's maintenance schedule.
