Ford fusion questions for buying used

Hello,

I see so many issues with the transmission s on these vehicles, why are they recommend in the top 5? Should someone looking for a reliable car steer clear from these due to the transmission issues? I currently have a 2012 RAM that I am looking to sell with 76k miles and am looking at ford fusions in the 2012 range but doing research into these has me 2nd guessing.

There are quite a few Corollas and Camry's in my area but then again my concern is they are in the 07-09 range and the video stated to stay away as I take notes while looking for the right vehicle. There is a 05 Corolla with 175k miles and a 07 Camry with 155k miles.

Guess what I am asking is what one would be the most reliable, looking to get at least 3-4 years out of it while in college. Also I will have the vehicle inspected before I buy. My budget is about 8k but the less I pay the better.

Thank you for taking the time to look and all feedback is appreciated.

You should check website: carcomplaints.com

If you look up Ford Fusion you can see why they go for so cheap.

Look up some old Toyotas...why are they so expensive - Cuz they hold their value

I would just buy some older Tacoma Truck and keep it for 3 years and get your money back when you sell it.  Just an idea....

The last good Corolla that was "over-built" in Toyota fashion was 2008, and an even larger difference was in the Camry, which was junk in 2007-2009, and a lot better in 2005-2006, which is what i would reccomend. A 2010-2012 Fusion is also a safe bet. It is on Scotty's 5 used cars to buy list.
