Scotty out the Ford Fusion (specifically 2012 model year) as the 5th best used car to buy. The ecoboost engines are somewhat garbage, so stick to the 2.5. The 2014+ and 2011-2012 should be your best years. Check carcomplaints for research on best years.

Update: The 2015+ model years non-ecoboost engine would be your best bet.

But the 2010+ all have a large abundance of engine and steering issues. 2009 is the most reliable. But getting a 2.5 should make the engine be more reliable.

I also would consider one with the 2.5.

Excluding 2010-2011, and 2013 model years.

Power steering seems to be a major problem that Ford does not know how to fix.

2010 is the worst year but then again you should check ALL those years....heres a site in which you can.
