I have already done so much to try and stop my front brakes stop making noise, but when they are cold, they still squeak at very low speeds. Only when cold en only near full stop. The car is a Volkswagen Golf cabriolet 2.0 gasoline automatic 2001.160..000 km. The discs and pads are near new, as well are the mounting shims. I also lubricated the gliding pins and the other required surfaces on the pads with brake grease. I'm Running out of options!
Hi from the Netherlands 💡
P.s.: I used Brembo discs, Febi Bilstein (Lo metallic) pads. The lubricant is special purpose Brembo brake silence lubricant. Not copper grease.
It’s probably those semi metallic pads.
If the braking performance is unaffected, I’d just live with it. Unless you’re OCD about noise, in which case you’ll have to look for ceramic brake pads (such as Akebono).
